KCS

In cooperation with our South Korean commercial representation SZU Korea, we provide to our customers the KCs marking and S-marking of their products, which is required for a number of products before they can be placed on the Korean market. “KC” means “Korea Certification”Related Departments & Ministry of 13 was used different safety mark for each product scope. Now all safety mark integrated to one certification mark K and C.

“KCs” shall be marked on the machinery or equipment which cleared the Autonomous Safety Check or obtained Safety Certificate.

SCOPE OF KCS

Safety Certification

It is the system that the Minister of Employment and Labour comprehensively evaluates and tests whether safety performance of the machine or equipment subject to safety certification, and technical capabilities and the product system of a manufacturer meet safety certification standards.

Autonomous Safety Check

It is a system that a person who manufactures or imports the machine or equipment subject to self-safety confirmation confirms that safety performance of the corresponding product meets self-safety standards to report the fact to the Minister of Employment and Labour.

Autonomous Safety Check (Self-safety Confirmation Reporting System) Scheme is a mandatory certification scheme which permits machinery certified from accepted KOSHA to prevent safety accidents caused by electric shock, mechanical hazards, fire and other hazards or interferences from the machinery.

Autonomous Safety Check Scheme is manufacturer (installed or part of the main structure, including when to change) or the importer or the machine installer about the safety performance of the product, ensure that it will work with voluntary safety standards, to report to the Minister of Employment and Labour system.

“KCs” shall be marked on the machinery or equipment which cleared the Autonomous Safety Check or obtained Safety Certificate.

    (About the product construction and safety measures taken against possible risks/hazardous situation)
  4. User’s Manual (Korean)
  5. Electrical Safety Report , Electromagnetic Compatibility Test Report (Korean/ English)
  6. Drawing of Marking Plate (Korean)
    (KCs symbol shall be marked on the equipment and mandatory marking items differ from the product category)
  7. Product Specifications
    (Photo, Layout drawing, technical features, etc.)

Documents to keep by Manufacturer

  1. All the documents defined above (submission to KOSHA)
  2. Detail answers of Risk Evaluation Report with related Test reports and technical documents (Electrical diagram, Mechanical drawing, Safety reports, etc.)

Manufacturer shall enclose the certificate issued by KOSHA in a manual or warranty agreement, also shall mark KCs symbol on the equipment in order to prove the successful completion of Autonomous safety check.
