Radmac

RADMAC - Quality of radiators for Europe and mutual acceptance of certification marks for radiators and convectors according to EN 442

The European RADMAC Group is concerned with the harmonization of all voluntary quality labels for radiators in Europe. The result of the set system is the unification of certification requirements between individual certification bodies and the creation of an agreement on mutual acceptance of test reports and inspection reports. Today, the following certification bodies are members of RADMAC:

Our testing laboratory has been recognized in the European RADMAC group by the certification body DIN CERTCO, in accordance with all requirements for radiators, convectors and floor convectors with a fan according to test standards EN 442 and EN 16430.

Advantages for radiators manufacturers

A radiator manufacturer that holds at least one voluntary certification mark (e.g. DIN CERTCO) can use the RADMAC program to obtain all other certification marks without having to perform tests and inspections for each mark separately. The visits will be carried out by an auditor (s) from one of the certification bodies and will cover all relevant certification marks. The certification bodies listed in the RADMAC program will receive a certification report.

As for sampling for audit tests, which are important to meet all the requirements of the certification body, these can be performed by our testing laboratory. The individual certification bodies will accept our test reports and grant the manufacturers the certification marks listed in the program of the European RADMAC group. All this at reduced costs resulting from the combined visits and multiple measurements needed to cover all certification marks in the system.

How to obtain a certification mark listed in the RADMAC program?

  1. The first step is to order an assessment of the properties of construction products according to Regulation (EU) No. 305/2011 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 9 March 2011. Based on this, we will perform a complete assessment of all product properties according to EN 442-1. After performing all tests and assessment of products, the customer will receive from us a certificate and a report on the assessment of the properties of the construction product (AVPC) according to system 3.

  2. Subsequently, it is necessary to perform voluntary certification according to one of the listed certification bodies (e.g. DIN CERTCO). After obtaining a voluntary certification mark, the product is still regularly inspected. If you are interested, we will be happy to offer you help and help you complete the order.

  3. After obtaining a voluntary certification mark, contact us and we will provide you with access to the RADMAC program. After meeting the requirements of the RADMAC program (inspections and verification tests), you will receive certification marks of individual member bodies.

A detailed overview of RADMAC and the relevant quality labels can be found in the brochure available on this website.
