Hello Adam, and good morning.
Welcome to SZÚ — it's a great pleasure to have you here and to ask you a few questions. I believe this will be very interesting for my colleagues and other partners as well.You are one of our most active sales representatives, working in Poland. My first question is: What is your personal background? Could you tell us a few words about yourself?

Of course. My roots are in the Polish minority that has lived in the Czech Republic since the border shifted between the world wars. I'm bilingual in Czech and Polish, which is why I’ve worked with Polish companies since the beginning of my professional career. I believe I have a good understanding of both Polish and Czech cultures.

How do you think Polish customers and producers are specific or unique compared to those in other countries?

I once even heard the Polish Prime Minister say that Poles are like the “European Chinese.” That comparison actually captures it quite well — Polish companies are extremely flexible, for them, nothing seems impossible.

What’s also very impressive is that they often have a clear vision, and they are able to stick to that vision and pursue it consistently over the long term. I’d also say that Polish customers are very demanding — it’s part of their nature. They’re also excellent when it comes to execution, whether it’s pushing their suppliers or ensuring they receive the exact service or materials they ordered. They know what they want and make sure they get it.

What was your greatest success while working for SZÚ?

It’s hard to pick just one customer or project — for me, every customer and every project is equally important. But if I had to highlight something, I’d say my greatest success is the consistent growth we've achieved over the past seven or eight years. Despite various market turbulences, political issues, and other challenges, we’ve managed to keep growing. That, to me, is a real achievement — and I hope we can continue this trend into the future.
