SZU EXPANDING ITS BUSINESS AND PARTNERSHIP RELATIONS WITH KOREAN BODIES

DEALING WITH KOTRA & NABO KOREA

On 31 July, another key meeting with major Korean bodies was held in our headquarters, whose main goal was to further the strong and successful representation of SZU in Korea and to deepen our relations with important Korean government agencies that support the interests and investments of Korean companies abroad.
The Korea Trade - Investment Promotion Agency, KOTRA, initiated these negotiations with SZU in an attempt to make an initial survey of the possibilities of tests and certification of Korean products to be marketed to the EU single market. The key role of KOTRA is to recommend to domestic Korean companies appropriate contacts to institutions and companies abroad, which provide consulting services, testing and certification.
The meeting in Brno, organized from the Korean side by Mr. Kwanseok Lee, Director of the Czech branch of KOTRA in Prague, was also attended by representatives of the Korean National Assembly Budget Office, NABO, whose mandate is to aid the National Assembly’s fiscal control over Korean national finances.
NABO was represented in Brno by Mr. Sukchang Son (Director-General for Planning & Management Office), Mr. Juho Lee (Planning & Cooperation Team), Mr. Hong-Yeop Park, Ph.D. (Public Institution Evaluation Division) and Mr. Yu-Hoon Jeong (Industrial Program Evaluation Division).
The negotiations on SZU side were led by Mr. Tomáš Hruška, Director-General of SZU, assisted by Mr. Luděk Drlík, MBA, Ph.D., Director for Testing.
